How to play
- Listen. The chord plays as the invader appears. Only one chord is in play at a time.
- Aim, then fire. Drag or tap in the play area, or use ← / → to move the cannon under the ship. Then tap the matching answer or press its number or letter, for example 1 / A.
- Keep your shields. A wrong answer or a chord reaching the base costs one shield. An off-target shot leaves the chord in play: reposition and try again, but your streak resets.
Move: drag, tap the play area or use ← / →. Your cannon turns green when lined up.
Use 1–7 or A, S, D, F, J, K, L, following the labels on the available buttons. Space hears the chord again; P pauses or resumes.
Every five consecutive correct answers increases your score multiplier, up to ×5. Higher waves descend faster. Extra time gives you 50% longer.
What changes in each wave?
- 1: Major and minor triads.
- 2: Adds diminished triads.
- 3: Adds augmented triads.
- 4: Adds dominant, major and minor sevenths.
- 5: Identify the inversion of major and minor triads. The chord quality is given.
- 6: Identify seventh-chord inversions, including half-diminished sevenths.
- Beyond wave 6: Mixed chord types and inversions, with increasing speed. Endless mode has no final wave.
Each wave contains five chords. Mission mode finishes after 30 chords if you still have shields. Inversions use close-position voicings; augmented and fully diminished seventh inversions are left out because their symmetry makes identification ambiguous.
